Your licence
We give you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Muzzle on your Macs, for your own work or your organisation's. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute it, or work around its licence limits. Muzzle remains ours.
Plans
- Free: the features listed as Free on usemuzzle.com, at no cost.
- Pro: a paid subscription. One key works on up to 3 Macs at a time; a Mac not seen for 60 days frees its place. New installations get Pro for 7 days.
- Pro through the Threat Feed: Pro at no cost for a Mac that contributes to the Threat Feed. It stays active while that Mac sends signals at least once every 14 days and ends when it stops contributing.
- Enterprise: volume licences and invoice billing on terms we agree in writing.
Subscriptions and payment
Pro is billed monthly or yearly, in advance. Subscriptions are sold through Stripe Managed Payments: Stripe is the merchant of record and reseller, handles payment and tax, and its terms apply to the purchase.
A subscription renews at the end of each period until you cancel it. You can cancel any time from the account page; Pro then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- use a contact address or our mail relay to send or receive spam, phishing, malware or unlawful content, or to receive mail meant for someone else
- send false signals to the Threat Feed or try to steer the shared rules
- attack, overload or probe our servers, or share keys beyond their limits
We may switch off contact addresses, Threat Feed registrations or licences that break these rules.
No guarantee
Muzzle will not catch every leak, secret or injection, and it can block things it shouldn't. You remain responsible for your code, keys, accounts and what your AI tools do. To the extent the law allows, Muzzle is provided as is.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Muzzle in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost data. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for intent or gross negligence.
Law
These terms are governed by Swedish law and disputes go to Swedish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
Changes
We post changes to these terms on this page with a new date. Changes that matter to paying customers take effect no sooner than 30 days after we post them.
