Why is Muzzle only warning?

For the first week Muzzle only warns. To block now, choose Turn on blocking at the top of Activity, or set Settings → When something leaks to Block. If protection is paused, choose Resume in the menu bar menu.

Which Macs can run Muzzle?

Muzzle runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 12 or later. There is no Intel download. To check your Mac, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. See system requirements.

Choose Activate in Muzzle at usemuzzle.com/account, or paste the key in Settings → Plan and choose Activate.

Why does Codex need another setup step?

Codex protection needs Pro. Turn on Codex under Settings → Protected tools, open a fresh terminal, then start Codex and type /hooks to turn hooks on.

What does Contribute to the Threat Feed share?

Accepted Answer

Rule names, destination domains, the part of a request where something was found, injection fingerprints, and signals about trusted sites and cleared false alarms. Signals never contain your values, files, paths or code. Registration is linked to your confirmed email and a hashed device identifier. The full list is on the privacy page.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings → Plan → Manage in Muzzle, or Manage billing at usemuzzle.com/account, and cancel. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

How do I sign in?

Go to usemuzzle.com/account, enter the email you bought Pro with and choose Send sign-in link. Open the link in the email. Only an email with a Pro key gets a link.

What does Muzzle send from my Mac?

Muzzle’s checks run on your Mac. Your protected values and the secrets it finds stay there. The app contacts us for update checks, the daily Threat Feed rules, licence checks (Pro) and, if you choose them, email confirmation, Threat Feed signals and the contact address. The privacy page lists each one.
